What Sets Us Apart

Our goal is to enhance the visual development for patients of all ages in the most effective manner possible. The Center for Vision Development is board certified through The College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD). We provide comprehensive testing and treatment for patients with visual challenges, serving Anne Arundel County and surrounding areas.

Our in-depth evaluation strategy involves a step-by-step process to determine if a vision problem exists, as well as whether vision enhancement may be required. The initial appointment will provide a complex examination of you or your child’s visual system and typically lasts 60 minutes. The second appointment assesses the visual performance skills necessary for success in the classroom or office. Following this second evaluation, a consultation will be scheduled with the doctor where the results will be discussed and you will be provided with a detailed vision report, including recommended academic or workplace accommodations. 
 

When vision problems are detected, or vision enhancement is requested, an individualized treatment program will be designed by one of our doctors.  Treatment may involve the use of lenses, prisms, filters, syntonics, BEMER, Braintap, and/or Neuro-Visual Rehabilitative Therapy.  All therapy sessions are performed on an individual basis by one of our highly trained vision therapists.
